Combining fat modern production, that classic rub a dub feel, and vocals from veterans on top form, Play Music Selecta riddim collection features the title track, with Little John's voice melting in your ears and the Midnight Rock label boss, Jah Thomas, totally having it with one of the finest vocals he's recorded. Both vocals were recorded in Jamaica for Kalbata and Mixmonster's fully-analogue original Sugar Plum release on Soul Jazz, before getting the remix treatment for this
release from RSD and Mungo's Hi Fi.

The second half of the collection boasts a prophetic track by Sugar
Minott, voiced in Scotland shortly before his passing. Lady Ann's 'Doctor Doctor' is one of the roughest love songs ever, and it's all topped off by Ranking Levy, who was the one that recorded Little John and Jah Thomas in the first place.
